Clarkston, Washington

Left Pat and Shannan's and decided to drive to Lewiston, ID.  Our first plan was to go to Coeur D Alene then off to Bonner's Ferry.  Thunderstorms and lots of rain was predicted for the next few days if we went that route.  Decided to skip that area and head off to Lewiston.  We went along the Gorge which is Interstate 84 along the Columbia River.  Beautiful and green as always until you hit the Dalles.  Green gradually goes away and turns into no trees and brown.  This amazing river goes through this land but its brown.

The weather was good for our journey.  About 110 miles into our trip, we saw 4 big horned sheep along side he road.  Why drive all the way to Alaska for wildlife viewing?  We left the Interstate and took Highway 730.  Still following the Columbia River we ran into a train wreck between the river and the road.  It involved many cattle cars and a caboose.

Next, we took Highway 12 which was rolling hills and lots of farm land.  A few rural towns and wineries slowed us down.  Finally, got to Clarkston, WA which is across the "Blue Bridge" from Lewiston.  Found a nice rv park and a little passenger in our water and sewer compartment.

i wonder if he came from Pat's or from Morro Bay.
