Visit With Pat, Shannan, and Grandchildren

After a few bumps in the road, we arrived at Pat and Shannan's house on August 10.  It was great to see all of them!  Shannan was recovering from some mystery disease.  It put her out of commission for over a week and she had some catching up to do.  You know, mother's can never be sick. We played with grandkids while Shannan made fresh blackberry jam and a wonderful dinner.

The next day, Jim and Pat worked on Pat's repaved driveway.  There were 5 truck loads laid that totaled 55 yards of crushed asphalt. That is 70 tons of material.  Those 2 men shoveled, raked, rolled,  and watered every load. It looks so much nicer than the worn out gravel.  After all that work, the whole family went out to Northwood Public House and Brewery in Battleground for dinner.  Battleground is the home of Jim's favorite female athlete,Tonya Harding. He was looking everywhere to spot her.

On the 12th, Pat went to work.  We took care of the grandkids while Shannan ran some errands.  Frankie was suppose to be laying down and taking a nap when he decided to use Shannan's makeup to decorate his face.  Boy, was he a mess.  Jim worked on the motor home and had some maintenance done with our towing package.  We had thundershowers in the afternoon and that is why I did not take a picture of Pat's driveway. But the driveway looks good.
