On Our Way

We wanted to leave August 7th but Jim needed to pass a kidney stone first.  Finally, we left the next day and drove to Corning, CA.  Stayed at the Rolling Hills Casino and had a wonderful dinner at their steak house, Timber Lodge.  The drive was your typical bumpy, hot, and boring Interstate 5. A few places along the road was smoky skies because of the numerous California fires.

On the 9th of August we drove to Coburg, OR.  We pulled into the Allied Group facility where camping is free with electricity and water.  They also have a sewer dump on site.  As we parked our motor home into a spot, there was a cement barrier we backed our rear tires against.  We let the jacks down, which are right behind the back tires and they got jammed into the cement barrier.  Uh-oh!  With help from the Discovery Forum and Dave Philpott, the jacks were set free and we were on our way the next day.  Pheww!
