They were joined at the stomach, and shared a liver and their bloodstream. They were born in Thailand (Siam at the time) and were brought to United States to perform with P.T. Barnum as a circus act. After their exhibition tour ended in 1943, they married sisters, Sarah and Adelaide Yates. Between the two of them, they had 21 children.
They were farmers who owned slaves and each had a son that fought in the Civil War for the Confederacy. January 17, 1874 Chang died during the night and Eng died 6 hours later.
