DOAI National Rally

The National DOAI Rally was held at the Cam-plex in Gillette, Wyoming.  60 rigs attended and we were the only rig from California.  Our motor home was placed in the back corner farthest from the meeting hall because we were the lone wolf from California.  But at the end of the rally, we had made many new friends and reacquainted ourselves with the people we met at the January DOAI Rally in Florida.

We were proud to represent our chapter Discovery California.

The seminars were very informative about how our type of motor home works.  Also, there were seminars on how to make the rv lifestyle more comfortable.  Our rig is one of the few that has a satellite dish so that we can get HD TV.  One of the speakers was a satellite expert and by the end of the rally, there were numerous installations of our type of satellite.

One of the fundraisers was to purchase tickets for a chance to win a king-size quilt. No matter how many tickets we purchased, we did not win.  Shucks!

At the DOAI general membership, we received a certificate for our new chapter Discovery California.

We're glad we attended and plan to do it again next year in Amana Colonies, Iowa.
