At 5:00 each evening at the Peabody Hotel in downtown Memphis, the Peabody ducks march fromthe fountainin the lobby to the elevator towards their nightly roost. The Duck Maestro or the Duck Commander, dressed in a red coat with a baton, explains to the crowd the history of the ducks and the hotel which was all based on a bet. Men and gambling! At 11:00 each day the ducks come out of the elevator to go spend the afternoon in the fountain. Each evening they go back into the elevator. We had front row seats but still din't get a good picture as they waddled out.
After the Peabody Ducks, we went to Beale Street which is famous its nightly entertainment.
We ate at B. B. King's and there was even an O'Sullivan Bar.
Some famous icons were visitors on Beale.
