The headwaters of the Mississippi River begin at Lake Itasca. Jim walked among the rocks that separate the river from the lake.
Dave joined him and then the women.
After our splash into the Mississippi, we went on a boat ride around Lake Itasca and saw a red headed woodpecker and some eagles.
