Savage, Minnesota

Kaboom!  We woke to thunder and lightning beginning at 4:00 in the morning.  According to Jim's unscientific rain gauge, we probably got over 3 inches of rain that morning.  There was a slight delay of our travels to the Minneapolis area but we got there by early afternoon.  Our rv park was actually in the town of Savage.  As we arrived in Savage, we were greeted with another lightning and thunderstorm that lasted long enough for us to unhook and park the motor home. What luck!

As the rain cleared, we took off for the Mall of America.  This mall has 500 stores.  In the middle of the mall is an amusement park with rollercoasters, games of chance, spinning rides, and even a Ferris wheel.

Jim found an unique bbq.

For dinner we went to a restaurant named Dicks.  It was a raunchy place where our waiter insulted us but was a wealth of information about the Minneapolis area.

It is definitely a PG place.

Dave ordered a margarita that cost him $25 but he got to keep the glass.
